Leading law firm, Longmores Solicitors, is proud to be providing financial backing to support two popular local rugby clubs.

As the season kicks off, Longmores is delighted to be sponsoring Johnny Neville of Bishop’s Stortford Rugby Club for the second successive season.

Johnny, who plays inside centre for the first XV and is seen as a rising star in the sport, was recommended to Longmores by the club’s Director of Rugby, former England player, Andy Long.

Despite a solid performance by Neville and his team-mates, Bishop’s Stortford RFC finished last season in third place in National League 2 South, the fourth tier of English rugby, narrowly missing out on the promotion play-offs but the team is hoping to build on last season’s performance.

Up and coming players of the future are also supported by Longmores which sponsors the rugby balls used by the club’s ‘Minis’ under 6 to under 12 section.

Longmores have also become Corporate Patrons of Hertford Rugby Club for the 2016-17 season, which includes advertising as well as sponsorship of the home fixture against Westcombe Park on 25th March 2017. The first XV play in National League 3 of the London and South East division, finishing fourth last season and looking to improve on that this year with an influx of impressive signings.

Longmores’ Practice Director, Tim Robinson, commented: “We are proud to have connections with two thriving, hugely popular local rugby clubs and we wish them both every success for the coming season. As a firm, we really want to emphasise our local connections and to put something back by supporting both regional businesses and the local communities where we work and live.”

Both clubs host their first home matches of the season on Saturday 10th September.
