Teens Unite’s annual It’s A Knockout Family Fun Day will be back with a bang on Sunday 14th June, Wormley Playing Fields.

The much-anticipated event, which attracts crowds of local residents, families and businesses is organised by Teens Unite to support their efforts in improving the lives of young people fighting cancer.

The Broxbourne-based charity supports 650 teenagers and young adults from across the UK by introducing them to others their age in a similar situation to themselves and helping them to rebuild their confidence and self-esteem, learn new skills and look towards a future beyond cancer.

Centred around the hit TV show, ‘It’s A Knockout’, teams will battle against each other on the inflatable assault course, attempting to overcome different challenges and obstacles with a difference along the way. The event makes for a memorable day out with family and friends and an ideal team building activity. Local companies and stores including Fishpools, Vision, Kings Group, Marks and Spencer and Ricoh have all entered teams in previous years. A few spaces remain for this year’s event and anyone wishing to take part has the following options:

·         £400 per team of 10

·         £200 per team of five

·         £40 per person

Alongside the assault course, there will be endless, all day family fun with stalls, games and entertainment to enjoy from cake stalls to fairground rides. Admission into the event is free of charge.

Debbie Pezzani, CEO and Founder has said: “Our It’s A Knockout event has become notorious in the local area and an event that the community looks forward to each year. What we have planned for 2015 means the event is set to be the biggest and best yet and we are expecting close to 1,000 people to be joining us.

Whether you are taking part in the It’s A Knockout challenge or just coming along to join in the antics, we promise you a fun-filled day out.”
