A great day out for all the family.
The Herts County Show takes place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May. As always there will be plenty of attractions, marquees, food halls and trade stands. The Show will kick off with the popular Food and Farming Debate on the Friday evening but this year will include a fun ‘sheep race’ in aid of Grove House, St Albans and St Francis, Berkhamsted hospices.
Main Grand Ring attractions include: Heavy Horse (8 pairs) Musical Drive (both days), plus the Jason Smyth motorbike stunt act and the fabulous Devils’ Horsemen demonstrating Cossack Trick Riding and a Wild West Spectacular (Sunday only) .
The extremely popular Herts Farmers ‘Flying Fork Trucks’ Display will be performing in the Grand Ring on both days. The marching Band of the Army Air Corps together with the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment Freefall Team will appear on Saturday. Show Jumping – ‘Rising Stars under 21’ top rider competition on Saturday, with £3000 prize money kindly sponsored by CBS Ltd.
Following the record 31,000 visitors at the 2005 Show, additional Grandstands have been booked to be located in the Grand Ring and the Lafarge Show Jumping Ring respectively.
As always the Enjoy Hertfordshire Marquee will be present. This is run by the Hertfordshire Tourism and Leisure Partnership and aims to and makes visitors aware of all the attractions that are available within Hertfordshire.
