The BCC is one of the most influential business organisations in Europe representing the interests of businesses throughout the UK.  Mr Reyner, who takes up his post in July, said, “Being elected as President of the British Chambers of Commerce is a great honour and responsibility. Business is a wealth creator and the engine behind the UK’s prosperity and I will do my utmost to ensure that its interests are promoted at all levels. To ensure that I continue to maintain close links with businesses I will also continue with my role as Chairman of the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry which has enjoyed a great deal of success in recent years”.

Mr Reyner continued,” It is clear that businesses will face a number of challenges as a result of the current economic environment, it is vital that they receive appropriate support and are not unduly encumbered with unnecessary legislation. I look forward to the challenge”.
