Hertfordshire Constabulary are running an evening event for businesses and employers from 1830hrs on Wednesday 6th July at Force HQ.

The aim of this event is to explain the role of the Special Constabulary, launch the Employer Supported Policing Scheme, and discuss the wide range of options that are available to employers to sponsor and support the Special Constabulary.

They are aiming to grow Special Constabulary officer numbers by 50% over the next 4 years, and are increasingly looking at recruiting into specialisms, such as rural policing and protective services (which includes areas such as economic crime).

There are also other options available to support the Special Constabulary through both standard sponsorship, such as providing funding for ongoing vehicle costs, and in more innovative ways, such as providing space for the Special Constables to meet or work from.

  • Find out about the invaluable role of the Special Constabulary in Hertfordshire
  • Discover the benefits to your organisation and the local community by supporting an employee or sponsoring the Special Constabulary
  • Hear from Special Constables about their roles and the skills they have developed that they can take back to the workplace

Tours of the Force Communications Room will also be available at the end of the evening.

To register for this event, please contact Chief Inspector Catherine Akehurst on 01707 355072 or email catherine.akehurst@herts.pnn.police.uk
