Following the public meeting for businesses that was held at Sportspace this morning at 11.30 o.m. authorities are managing a phased programme enabling owner/ managers to return to or visit their premises.

All returns/ visits will be accompanied by the Police, and must be arranged in person by visiting a business contact centre established at Adeyfield School.

Generally, only one (or two) people per business will be allowed to return/ visit in the first instance.

Phase 1

West side of and to the west of Maylands Avenue

Mark Rd,
Cleveland Rd
Maylands Avenue West
Eastman Way

Returns being enabled NOW – most will be allowed to remain – some may not if the condition of their individual building is deemed unsafe.

Phase 2

East side of Maylands to the west side of Boundary Way and north to Swallowdale.

To begin once phase 1 is complete – estimated from around 2:00pm today (Tuesday).

Visits will be accompanied, but people will not be allowed to stay. They will be allowed to remove easily portable essentials – to be discussed with the authorities at the time.

If vehicles are to be removed, then by arrangement, the necessary number of drivers can accompany.

Phase 3

West of Boundary Way.

No timeline yet – the area is still unsafe.  This is most likely to be tomorrow.
