Does your office have a star baker, is Friday cake and treat day, or do you just love an excuse for a get together over a brew in the staff kitchen?
The Essex & Herts Air Ambulance is asking Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce Members if they could host their own Very British Afternoon Tea in June.
If your company is looking to support a local charity and could host an Afternoon Tea at the office the charity would love to hear from you. Once registering your tea party you will receive a free tea party themed fundraising pack with recipes, posters and invitations. Once registering your company’s support the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance would help to promote your event via their Social media platforms and website.
This year’s campaign features a former airlifted patient of the Charity, Kate Oliver. Eight years after a road traffic collision, which left her in a coma with life changing injuries, Kate has made a good recovery and now runs a successful tearoom. She shared her story and some of her top baking tips for the Charity’s A Very British Afternoon Tea fundraising pack and will be hosting her own tea party in June.
Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) is a Charity that provides a Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) for the critically ill and injured of Essex, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas. The service is provided free of charge but, unlike NHS emergency services, the Charity receives no direct funding from the Government or National Lottery. It costs in excess of £500,000 and rising every month to keep the service operational and saving lives, and this would not be possible without the generosity and goodwill of people and businesses of Essex, Hertfordshire and beyond. Every tea party donation will help the charity to continue flying and providing this vital service
Natasha Robertson, EHAAT’s Fundraising Manager, said: “We are appealing to businesses who love cake to gather their colleagues and help us to fund our missions in the area! Last year’s A Very British Afternoon Tea was an extraordinary success, and we hope that this year’s initiative will continue to raise much-needed funds for our life-saving service.”
A Very British Afternoon Tea is sponsored by Berryworld.
