SBC are delighted to announce their first careers evening.  Designed for young adults who are considering careers in science from 16 upwards.  They will be opening up the centre from 5pm on Tuesday 23rd June with presentations from scientists with varied jobs across the life science sector and stands from some of the learned societies and professional bodies.  

Information on participants:

They will have exhibitions and representatives from a number of the professional and learned societies on hand to talk to you about the careers' available to you.  Including the Royal Society of Chemistry, Institute of Biomedical Sciences and the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

There will also be a number of key institutes and Universities for you to explore what sort of further education you might need including, The Royal Veterinary College, University of Hertfordshire, University of Cambridge and University College London.

To offer insight into what life is like as a scientist is actually like, SBC will be welcoming GSK and their apprentice students, in addition to some of SBC own onsite scientists, part of the entrepreneurial start-up community.
