Commenting on the launch of a new enterprise academy by the Prime Minister today, Chris Hannant, Head of Policy at the British Chambers of Commerce, said:

"An enterprise academy is a great way to get more young people interested in starting up their own businesses, and we hope this initiative will help to promote a strong culture of enterprise in the UK.

"However, if the government is really serious about enterprise, they would use tomorrow's Budget to scrap the poorly thought through changes to capital gains tax, which threaten to erode both enterprise and a spirit of entrepreneurialism."
