Dept of Work & Pensions seek your views - Focus Group on the design personal accounts.

A message from DWP

In the White Paper “Security in Retirement”, published in May 2006, we announced our intention to consult on various aspects of private pension reform, including personal accounts. This focus group will form part of that consultation exercise, and provide an opportunity to discuss how the design and introduction of personal accounts from 2012 will affect employers. We are keen to gain your views on these issues, how you may manage the impact, and any specific feedback and concerns.

There will be two focus groups held in London at Brown’s Courtrooms WC2 on 6th and 7th December 2006. These focus groups will run from 10:00 - 15:00. Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be served. We intend to hold a further focus group in Edinburgh on 12th December 2006. Location and times to be decided.

Attendance at the event is by invitation only as spaces are limited. I should be grateful if you would confirm your interest, letting us know of any special requirements by close of business 28th November 2006.

An outline of the day, along with a brief overview of personal accounts will be issued to you on receipt of your expression of interest We will reimburse reasonable travelling expenses.

If you are successful in attending this focus group we will require an invoice from you detailing: Name Address Bank details Costs incurred (with receipts if possible) Please send invoices and expressions of interest to: Anne Marshall Private Pension Reform Room BP 9152 Benton Park View Newcastle Upon Tyne Tel no: 0191 22 56171 Mobile: 07711661178 E mail: mail to:Anne.marshall@dwp.gsi.gov.uk
