Commenting on the continuing postal strike David Frost, Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce, said:

"By dragging this strike on the CWU is both harming business and damaging the economy.

"The relentless tide of global competition has forced British business to modernise, ensuring that it survives and prospers.  Royal Mail must change if it is going to meet the challenges ahead.

"The unions need to understand that Royal Mail does not operate in a vacuum and faces the same global pressures as business. Change is inevitable if Royal Mail is to survive."
