Seb retired from athletics in 1990 before moving into politics and he now sits in the House of Lords. Recently he has become increasingly involved in sports administration and in May 2004 was appointed Chairman of London 2012, the company bidding to bring the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games to London. In July 2005 London’s bid was successful and Seb has pledged not to rest until London has hosted a great Games providing a platform for a top performing Great Britain team.
