Heroes come in many shapes and sizes and you don’t need to wear a cape to become one! Hertford-based Cariad Marketing is running the second in a mini-series of social media workshops to help you become a Social Media Hero...in just 60 minutes!

Become a #LinkedIn Hero in just 60 minutes will show the most effective ways to bring your company to the attention of the most relevant section of LinkedIn’s 300 million global users.

In May, Cariad’s workshop on Twitter had a full house and raised £250 for The Muscle Help Foundation. Justine Perry, Cariad Marketing’s MD, explained the reason behind the workshops. “Cariad is donning on its metaphorical superhero cape to run a series of introductory workshops for SMEs so we can pass on our knowledge to help local businesses make themselves heard. In May, our #TwitterHero workshop had a full house of people eager to learn more, and we raised £250 for the Muscle Help Foundation which was fantastic.”

The Social Media Hero in 60 Minutes workshops cost £25 to attend with 100% being donated to local charities. Become a #LinkedInHero will be held on Wednesday 18 May between 8 and 9.30am. Proceeds will go to the Isabel Hospice.

Gill Macdonald, Communications Manager, explained how the money raised by Cariad will help: “Isabel Hospice provides specialist end-of-life care across eastern Hertfordshire to people living with life shortening conditions such as cancer, motor neurone disease and end stage heart, lung or renal failure. The Hospice is more than just a building where one thing happens. Our specialist nurses can care for people for many months at home, at our Day Services and in the last days of their life at the In-Patient Unit in Welwyn Garden City. Where we cannot put days into life, we put life into days supporting patients and their families and walking alongside them on their journey. “
