The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), in partnership with MasterCard, are running a series of workshops to help more small businesses adopt card and electronic payments methods, in order to keep up with changing consumer spending habits and support business growth.

In 2014, the number of consumers making electronic and card payments in the UK and abroad rose by 8.3%, showing that there is a growing shift from cash to card payments.  Not only are card and electronic payment becoming more popular with customers, it is also the cheapest, safest and quickest way for businesses to make and receive payments.

The BCC and MasterCard workshops will offer businesses the tools and insight to take full advantage of the changing consumer landscape and to increase revenues. The workshops are running in Essex, Kent and Hertfordshire on various dates throughout November 2015*.

Commenting, David Riches, Executive Director of Commercial Services at the BCC said:

“With many consumers  increasingly using electronic payments, the BCC workshops with Mastercard will help businesses to adopt card and electronic payment in the most appropriate way for them – helping to better serve their customers and reap the rewards financially.”
