Q: I have signed up to be a member of the Chamber, how long before my membership takes effect?
A: Your Membership is effective from the date we receive your application.

Q: Is my membership fee tax deductible?
A: Yes Membership fees are tax deductible. You will receive a VAT receipt for your fees with your membership package.  If you are paying in instalments, you will be sent an invoice confirming your payment plan, this can also be used for accounting purposes. 

Q:  Can I pay monthly for my membership?
A: Membership can be paid monthly, quarterly or annually.

Q; How do I activate my member benefits?
A: You will receive a welcome pack in the post with a full list of benefits and information on how to activate them.

Q: Will I be expected to pay additional fees to take advantage of these benefits?
A: Some of the benefits are at a cost but this is at a preferential rate given only to members of the chamber. For more information visit Business Benefits

Q: How do I take advantage of the one month’s free advertising?
A:  We will ask you for your company logo and a link to your website. Your logo will appear on the homepage of the Chamber website from the beginning of the next calendar month after your joining date.

Q: What does Patron status mean?
A: Patrons are members of the Hertfordshire business community who wish to raise their profile, support the Chamber and influence key policies and initiatives within the county and nationally.

Q: What are the benefits of becoming a Patron?
A:  Association with a highly regarded accredited Chamber and successful membership organisation.    Opportunity to influence and support the development of the local business economy

Q: What is an Alliance Partner?
A: The Alliance Partner package is a strategic level membership offered to a limited number of organisations. It is designed to build long term relationships to enhance reputation and brand whilst supporting local CSR objectives.

Q: How can I be sure I have chosen the right package for my company?
A: Our membership packages are based on employee numbers; this makes it easy for you to choose the right membership package for your business.

Q: How can I redeem my £25.00 event voucher, and what types of events are included?
A:  You will receive your voucher in the welcome pack, all you need to do is tell us at time of booking you would like to use your voucher and then bring it along to the event.  The voucher value is £25 if you wish to attend an event that costs more you will just have to pay the difference.

Q: Is my voucher valid for the life of my membership or there an expiry date?
A: The voucher is valid for a year from the date of joining.

Q:  How can I meet other chamber members and network with potential new customers or suppliers for my business?
A:  We have a wide range of networking events throughout the county.

Q: How can I find out who is attending an event, prior to the date?
A:  If you call the Chamber a day prior to the event, we will be happy to email a list of attendees to you.

Q: When attending an event how do I know who else is there?
A: On arrival to the event we provide you with a name badge and a delegate list.

Q: Can you help introduce me to people at the events?
A: If you see someone on the delegate list that you would like to meet, we will be happy to introduce you to them.

Q: Do you have a database of members?
A: We have a database of members that can be purchased as an excel datasheet.

Q: How can I use the database?
A:  Once you have the database you can use it however you choose to promote your business within the parameters of our Terms and Conditions of use.

Q: Can I see the Terms and Conditions before I purchase the members database?

Q: As a Chamber Member, how do I get my login details so that I can access the members' area of the website?
A: Your member login and password will be sent to with your membership pack.  If you have not received this information, please contact

Q:  As a Chamber Member can I link from my website to the Herts Chamber website?
A:  The Chamber Member logo optimised for the web in JPG or PNG format, along with the URL (web address) 150 pixels.  Please email the membership team with your request.

Q: As a Chamber member can I include the Chamber logo on my printed literature and are there any restrictions for use?
A: We can provide our logo in EPS format for high quality printing on request. You may only include the Chamber logo whilst your membership is current.
