Directors and managers whilst dealing with business challenges cannot always find time to address the people issues. Yet, it is the people that help drive forward and grow the business. This course looks at the key principles of effective leadership and performance management and motivation. The course explores the various people management options that can be incorporated into the business adding benefit and keeping business outcomes in focus.
We will look at the various practices that support good people management, use some of the tools and explore personal challenges as identified before the course. Materials and links to further information will be available. The course is relaxed and easy going way as we explore what we know already and what we need to find out.
What will the course consist of?
• Examining the options available e.g. performance review, rewards schemes, development planning etc.
• Supporting these options by identifying the skills needed e.g. coaching, mentoring, communicating and training
You will be asked in advance to identify the challenges in your role and your business. You will be provided with a Pick List of most common issues which will be explored and discussed. The course will provide you with insight into the benefits of setting up systems and help you gain confidence in approaching people challenges.
